Festival of Praise!!!
WOW! where do i start.. well juz came back from the singapore indoor stadium. there was this "concert" or something like that held there and the band that came was Hillsongs Australia and Delirious from United Kingdom... I assure you seriously that this two christian bands is much better than any of the secular bands out there in the world.. if u were there, u will know the music was really good and it was close to perfection... the delirious vocalist has a very good voice, Darlene Zschech what can i say (in a good way of course), the guitarist of delirious was "SWEET", and the drummer of Hillsongs was rock onz... hahaha that was a little introduction of how good they were...
The atmosphere in the fully packed indoor stadium was electric. It really made me flashback to the time i visited Sydney, Australia when i visited Hillsong Church there.. the music and the atmosphere in the stadium was almost or i must say similar to that in Hillsongs. Really even if you are not a believer (christian) i really encourage you to attend one of their sessions... (if u are in singapore this weekend that is) tonight,saturday, there is a session... so go and open ur eyes.. trust me you will not regret...
It is truly very "cheering" to see the whole stadium packed with believers worshiping together in unity... it was a wonderful sight too.. well i can continue praising Hillsongs and Delirious for their wonderful performance, but Rev. Colin Dye (the senior pastor of the Kensington Temple, UK) reminded us what and why is these bands are doing what they are doing... it was not for their glory but it is to glorify Him and Him alone... sometimes we can forget that why we are singing songs every sunday morning or during bible study.. friends, the true reason is simply to glorify Jesus and His finished work at Calvary.. Reverend Colin Dye's short sermons was about Apostolic Faith to be connected to God. He said something very relevant to us that night, at times we as christians crave for "bible knowledge" till the point we actually forget the real meaning of being a christian which is to be connected, or in other words interact with God Himself... In the bible, He says that he knows you by name and that He knows you through and through... God expect us to know him too. In Exodus 33, it shows clearly Moses understand that God was all that he need and know. God said to moses that He would send His angels, following him(moses) to the promise land and the angels would ensure every blessing to be apon him and the people he was leading.. but Moses said NO.. he said he would not move a step unless Your(God) presence follow us... It is the same with this famous verse,"Seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness, and ALL THESE THINGS shall be ADDED unto you"
so ask God to show you HIS glory, (not ask him to show you YOUR glory)... Rev. Colin Dye had a really strong "English"/British accent.. it was really interesting.. after his sermon, Hillsongs and Delirious led us into a time of wonderful praise and worship again... at times the whole stadium would be jumping in unison to the music..
I must say that it was one of the Best concerts i had ever attended.... so if u are free on saturday or sunday PLS PLS go... It will really be a blessing... okie its late.. i better retire now.. see ya!
